To enjoy reduced tariffs, Rigans need to receive Riga resident’s cards

As only the holders of Riga resident’s cards will enjoy the privileges in receiving the services of Riga hospital No. 1, Riga hospital No. 2, Riga maternity hospital and Riga Zoo of July 1, 2014, “Rīgas satiksme” reminds once again about the procedure of issuing Riga resident’s cards. Pursuant to the regulations of Riga City Council, Riga resident’s cards are issued free of charge to those persons having declared their residence or owning a real estate within the administrative borders of Riga city.

To receive a Riga resident’s card, they have to visit a "Rīgas satiksme" customer service centre and to present an identity document and the personalised e-ticket they already hold. If a person has no personalised e-ticket, she/he can apply for a Riga resident’s card on the Internet or in a customer service centre – after presenting an identity document.

Persons owning a real estate in Riga:

To receive a Riga resident’s card, they have to visit a "Rīgas satiksme" customer service centre and to present an identity document and the personalised e-ticket they already hold, if any.  

The customer service centres of "Rīgas satiksme" are located at: Brīvības Street 191, Brīvības Street 384b, Prāgas Street 1 (entrance from the city canal), Kurzemes Avenue 137 and Vienības gatve 117A (former terminal „Ābolu Street”of trolleybus route No. 27). The customer service centres are open on workdays from 9:00-19:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 till 16:00. The customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 is open on workdays from 8:00 till 19:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 till 15:00. The customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 is open every workday from 9:00 till 19:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 till16:00. 

"Rīgas satiksme" invites those customers who have filled in application forms for Riga resident’s cards but have not received the cards to visit the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 191, to sign the application form and to receive their Riga resident’s cards.  

"Rīgas satiksme" reminds that the option of applying for Riga resident’s cards, filling in the application form on the Internet and confirming the application form electronically is available not only to holders of the electronic signature, but also to clients of banks: Citadele, Nordea, SEB un Swedbank. Clients who choose this option will receive from "Rīgas satiksme" an e-mail/SMS informing them which customer centre they have to visit to receive the card once it is ready.
